Hampi series - 11

The interiors of Vijayavittala temple, most ruined of all the temples.
Vijayavittala temple seems to be the most cherished one in Hampi. Its musical pillars, large rangasthala(dance hall), huge outer area and a marvellous stone-chariot(kallina ratha)..!

It must have been the pride of Vijayanagara and that must have been the reason for its most brutal destruction.

The glory in the past and a gory of it today, Hampi, the capital of Vijayanagara is an exhaustive journey in to the past.

I am ending my Hampi series with this note.
